Since 1995, USDA has monitored the food security of
U.S. households through an annual, nationally representative survey. In addition to publishing reports on its
findings, the agency has produced a set of graphics that illustrate current
data and trends dealing with the prevalence of food insecurity, food insecurity
rates by demographic, and spending on federal food aid, among other topics.
